130mph on a mountain bike

At first I thought this was the Kilomètre Lancé piste in Les Arc, but no, it’s a longer 2km run in the Chilean Alps.

In the clip below Markus Stoeckl reaches 210.4km/h on a full suspension mountain bike. It does have gears though, so should be easy to beat. Anyone fancy a go?

London Freewheel this Sunday

This Sunday sees the London Freewheel kick off all over London. Groups of cyclists will meet at designated spots around the city and cycle in to town where a group of major roads have been closed to traffic, the idea being to promote cycling in the city and presumably have some sort of wheeled love in.

London Singlespeed will be there, at least for a while. Although we’re not sure about the tassles and will probably fuck off to the pub after an hour or so.
